Apparently Cubed3.com has "confirmed" the Wii release date. According to the news story http://www.cubed3.com/news/531 the Nintendo Wii will launch on November 6th, eleven days before the Playstation 3's November 17th release date. While this date would make sense, I doubt Nintendo would announce their official release date so early in the year. Up until this point Nintendo has always reffered to the launch window as "4th Quarter." If you took the time to read into the cubed3.com article mentioned above you'll find they've "quoted their source" as saying "So, at the moment Nintendo are aiming to launch the Wii on November 6th" which is pretty interesting considering most Nintendo reps and "sources" know how to speak proper english. Maybe the "source" did say "is aiming" instead of "are aiming." I can forgive a typo, but if you read further it gets worse…"Nintendo aren't going to have an exact date in mind until they are sure they can meet the deadlines." Two typos or two bad sentences from the "source's" mouth? Of course the Wii will launch in November! They aren't going to miss out on the Thanksgiving holiday season shopping spree, and they aren't going to let Sony beat them to the market. Anyway, your thoughts?
