Wow. Had to drive to Toys R' Us today for the show to pick up:

1. A Fast and the Furious RC Car (which is now at my desk…sweet!)

2. A Racing Street Bike

3. A GI Joe Sigma 6 figurine that resembles the Pittsburgh Steeler's quaterback.

Anyway I picked up the good and got it back to the old G4 with time to spare. I have to admit it was a bit nice to get out of the office midday. Most of the time it seems like I never see the sun anymore. Back to the auction though. It's funny. It's supposed to be a replica of Ben's helmet, and instead its just an empty box. Get it?! Hahahahahahaha. Meh. Next Tuesday's eBay will be cooler.

Live Action Tekken

Live Action Tekken has already blown up on the nets, I think it hit Kotaku yesterday or today. Anyway, we're hopefully* getting it on the show tomorrow. Was never a really big Tekken fan, but I read into the wikipedia entry of the series and I can see why its got such a huge following. Is it just me or are fighting games lame? I enjoyed Soul Calibur 1 and 2, Killer Instinct on SNES and N64…of course way back in the day SFII was the shit…and then Karate Champ if you want to go back even further…but thats about it.

Nintendo Wii release date?

Apparently Cubed3.com has "confirmed" the Wii release date. According to the news story http://www.cubed3.com/news/531 the Nintendo Wii will launch on November 6th, eleven days before the Playstation 3's November 17th release date. While this date would make sense, I doubt Nintendo would announce their official release date so early in the year. Up until this point Nintendo has always reffered to the launch window as "4th Quarter." If you took the time to read into the cubed3.com article mentioned above you'll find they've "quoted their source" as saying "So, at the moment Nintendo are aiming to launch the Wii on November 6th" which is pretty interesting considering most Nintendo reps and "sources" know how to speak proper english. Maybe the "source" did say "is aiming" instead of "are aiming." I can forgive a typo, but if you read further it gets worse…"Nintendo aren't going to have an exact date in mind until they are sure they can meet the deadlines." Two typos or two bad sentences from the "source's" mouth? Of course the Wii will launch in November! They aren't going to miss out on the Thanksgiving holiday season shopping spree, and they aren't going to let Sony beat them to the market. Anyway, your thoughts? For the record, I'm a huge gaming, film, baseball, motocross, and Star Wars fan. Which brings me to my next point, producing television!

As a producer for a daily live television show called Attack of the Show! (See: www.g4tv.com/aots ), I find myself reading up on a LOT on gaming news and game industry information. In the past I've taken care of a few gaming segments for the show including "Freeplay Friday" (Weekly review of the newest free online PC demos), "First 50" (Weekly review of the newest and biggest gaming releases), and a collection of gaming guests who've made an appearance on the show to demo their product including Kudo Sunoda's Fight Night Round 3, Rich Vorodi's Metroid Prime: Hunters, and Yasu Kurosawa's Final Fantast XI.

Aside from keeping tabs on the gaming industry for the show I'm also responsible for a few internet related segments, perhaps you've heard of them?

Gaming Information 2.0

    Shorewarz! It's not hard to say, in fact its kinda fun. Shore…warz…Hey at least it isn't Wii! Right?

    Actually, now that we've all seen E3 come and go, that might make for a great starting point for the site. Nintendo! Wii! Nintendo's PR people like to compare the name to the simplicity of google, yahoo, ipod, etc. which leaves me to wonder why they didn't go with Wahoo! Whatever, to be honest the name doesn't bother me so much. After spending an entire week at the LA convention center for E3, and talking about the Wii every five seconds, I've already become comfortable with the name. The logo is simple and clean, just like the console, all we need now are some great games to make the most of that wiimote contwoller.

    Well stay tuned for more updates, previews, predictions, rumors, reviews, opinions, information, and more. Some of you may be wondering why I haven't posted any game reviews to my Myspace blog (www.myspace.com/shorewarz) and the simple answer is that I was holding off until I could get this site up and running. This site will also give everyone a chance to communicate and share thier ideas with anyone crazy enough to click through it. As always, your questions and comments are greatly appreciated.
